Okay so I arrived back to a shit storm of notes. But this is definitely something I did not know about this campaign either. Does anyone have any other articles or statistics about it being alt-right propaganda hysteria? The link above is definitely a good start with information I was unaware of. I’m just so confused now, I didn’t realise this had connection to the alt-right and I definitely don’t want to be spreading false information that could help the alt-right. My apologies if I didn’t know the whole picture. I legit thought this was another SOPA deal, because I definitely don’t want fair use on the internet to be gone and that’s what still worries me.

Excuse me? Various sources, including Julia Reda have warned us about this. I’m at this point convinced that this is not alt righters trying to lie to us. I’ve heard that even news outlets that have nothing to do with the alt-right are talking about this now.

hey, this pride month let’s take a moment to think about some things and how they’re transphobic! here are some facts, from one artist to another, about what NOT to include in your art!

“futa” is bad because it fetishizes trans women and paints them as something to get off to. its transphobic.
“genderbends” are also bad because not only does it show that the only available genders are male and female, it also can actively erase trans identities. its transphobic.
fetish art of trans people is also not okay! it does not matter how “well” you get your facts right about trans people, if you only draw them for the sake of creating porn or other such nsfw things, its bad! trans people are people and should be treated as such, not as a toy for your fetish.

and let’s not forget, if you see art of a character depicted as trans, don’t ask “how” they’re trans. asking “how” a character can be trans is rude. there’s no reason to ask “how”. anyone can be trans and asking “HOW” a person can be trans is a transphobic tactic cis people have been using to try and figure out how to STOP people from being trans. its transphobic.

as a trans artist, I like encouraging people to have trans headcanons and support characters being trans, but there are a few things I think are bad for trans art. keep these in mind and have a good day!
